The matrix has felt extra…mmm…fictional?..recently, no???? Like all sorts of wobbly and wiggly. This is me sending out a little beep boop email transmission letting you know you aren’t alone.
When I feel overwhelmed by life around me, instead of getting scared and wanting to hide in a hole, I remind myself to lean in.
Look at how malleable everything around you is. When everything that exists concretely around you starts to feel fake then the line between reality and "fiction” begins to blend. Your subconscious gets to be as powerful, if not more powerful, than your mind.
These are some practices I move through when I’m feeling the weirdness:
Cold shower! — Pulls me out of my mind spiral and back into my physical body.
Pilates or Yoga! — Same as above. Connects me to breath.
Create! — Personally, I paint. But you can sing, dance, build something, etc. Creative expression is a wonderful, healthy release for bound up energy.
Appreciation! — Doing a list of this everyday reminds me of the physical realm I’m in while also seeing how easy it is to create more of what I want.
Clean! — Focuses my mind on one single thing. Calms the chatter. And again, a reminder than I am indeed a human living on earth.
